Tirumala Nambi Sri Venkateswara Kainkarya and Charitable Trust

"Tirumala Nambi Sri Venkateswara Kainkarya and Charitable Trust" was formed in 1994, with the avowed object of preserving the performance of Kainkaryams rendered by "Uthama Purusha" or "Sri Sailapurna" and to propagate the greatness of Acharya Tirumala Nambi, Sri Ramanuja, Sri Vedanta Desika and other Acharyas . The trust is also involved in charitable activities which includes rendering assistance for education, shelter and food to the poor and needy people and provide help for their medical needs.

In a cassette released by Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam (T.T.D.) under the name "Pancha Suktham" there are references about the Abhishekam and the part played by Thozhappa family members.(Descendents of Tirumala Nambi). We briefly list the services which are performed as per customs even today. These services are being monitored ever since the Trust was formed in 1994.

  1. Recitation of Mantrapushpam during Tirumala Seva daily either by Thozhappa family members or by the approved agent of T.T.D. nominated by Thozhappa family.
  2. Arranging daily theertham vessels for Akasaganga at the expenses of our trust for use in Sanctum Santorium at Tirumala.
  3. The right to recite Vedaparayanam vested in Thozhappa Chary family is done through nominated deputies recognized by T.T.D. on festive occasions.
  4. The performance of "Saathumurai" ubhayam during the 10 day festival at Sri Tirumala Nambi temple in Tirupathi on his birthday .
  5. Ubayams by way of offering of "Padi" in Thozhappa Mandapam at Tirupathi to Lord Govindaraja during:

  10. On Thaneer Amudu festival, only a Thozhappa Chary member brings Akasaganga water with temple honours, perform Abhisekam at the feet of the Lord and receive customary temple honours on the concluding day of Adyanautsavam. This is symbolic of Lord treating the great Acharya as "Thatha".
Our Acharya Tirumala Nambi temple is maintained by the "TRUST' and has introduced "Every year Archana Scheme " to be availed by the family members and devotees by creating a special corpus fund. Tirumala Nambi temple at Tirumala is a worthy memorial of high spiritual order .
