CIRCULAR
Sub: Periodical Festival Kainkaryams.
Dear Sir,
You may be aware that six major families of the Thollappa Chari family are allotted periodical festival kainkaryams such as "Avani Avittam" and "Sathumurais" as per turns prescribed by our fore-fathers.
For 2000-2001 commencing from August 2000, the list of Ubhayams and the family group which has to perform is herewith enclosed sufficiently early for needful action by you. It is desirable and incumbent on the part of the person or persons of any sub-group of the major family attend the periodical festival kainkaryams in person, expend the expenditure personally for kainkaryams and receive the honours. When they visit Tirupathi or Tirumala for their Kainkaryams, they should go sufficiently early (one day early) and they should not entrust this to Sri Mukundan but only seek his guidance from him or other local person. The full responsibility is Ubhayadar. When any member is attending personally for festival kainkaryams, money or cheques should not be sent to trust for depositing the Cheque and again giving back to them.
But, in case no person of the particular group of family is able to attend in person, that family group herein in consultation with that family group coordinator should send cheques only (not cash) sufficiently early before 10 days of the festival to the trust who will depute somebody with money for the function. No case the function should go unrepresented. Based on average expenses in the past has generally for local festival Rs 600 may be sent by Cheque to the trust for ordinary festivals other than (1) Kausika Puranams (2) Tirumala nambi Sathumurai and 9 days Tirumala Nambi Utsavam. The amount short or less will be adjusted by the trust and accounts be rendered to local ubhayadar.
Kindly note that family member or coordinator of festival Kainkaryam should inform the executive trustee 195, Lloyds Road, madras - 8, whether any familymember is going to Tirupathi/Tirumala or not for the festival Kainkaryam alloted to them. For change of performance of Ubhayam/kainkaryam from one year to another year this can be done with other sub-group members sufficiently early with the consent of co-ordinator or other family group. If any Thollappa Chari member wishes to perform voluntarily his ubhayam for monthly Thirunakchatram or Tirumala Nambi at Tirumala, they do so by contacting Executive Trustee and choose one month.
